A visit today for wheel upgrading, plating the hubs and hardware. The column switch also needs some looking after and I’m awaiting for David to bring down a 206 exhaust that was made to original specs. Should be here for a week or so. What a great color on a 206!!
Transformation Complete
This 206 came to us with just about everything wrong on it. New parts were sourced and others fabricated. It was brought back to it’s original color and configured how it left the factory gates.
Interior work
The interior was done in correct Dino Vinyl and the dash in correct mouse hair sourced from the Netherlands.
Fabricated Parts
There were many missing parts or wrong parts that needed corrected. The dash was totally wrong, there was no latch for the trunk, spars had to be made for the headliner, seat bolt anchors, mounting for rear view mirror and a host of other items.
The Beat Goes On
Reassembly continues with many parts being fabricated using my 206 for patterns.
Nocciola Metallizzato
The 206 is now back to it’s original color and headed back to Jon for reassembly.
Second Primer
Steve has finished the body work and the car is now in it’s second primer.
No Bumpers
As the previous owner had shaved the bumpers as well as where the trunk latch was and the front Dino emblem, bodywork and fabrication of parts needed to be done to get the car back to original.
