More body work today, welding in battery boxes, fuel lid and other holes. My aluminum front lid came today so got it mounted up and my fuel tank in so we can cut the hole in the front trunk lid.

I started mocking up the front suspension to make sure everything fits. RSR Strut bodies, Elephant racing bushings, 930 rotors and 930 calipers.

Finished up all the suspension reinforcements except for a few that go inside by the center tunnel rear seat area. We put all the flares on and what a difference!! I’m starting to picture it in my mind. Finished up restoring the steering with a new Momo steering wheel.

Worked on most of the reinforcements today. Front and rear swaybar reinforcements, new rear swaybar mounts, rear torsion tubes and shock towers. We started cutting for the 11″ rear flares.

I picked up my plating in LA and now I can rebuild more parts. Today was the Handbrake assembly, wiper assembly and the shift assembly with Wevo internals.

These are some of the reinforcements I’m doing. Front swaybar mount, Front strut, rear spring plate, rear shock tubes, front shock tubex, new rear sway bar mounts (not shown). This is going to be a street car, is undercoating recommended as original on these early 911’s?

I love the shape of both the Dino and early 911. The dino has all the curves and compound curves, so I would have to say to me the Dino has the edge. I got one of the bodies back from media blast and overall it’s not to bad. My big delivery comes next week of flares etc etc. In the meantime I’m restoring the parts I’ll reuse. I started with the pedal box and rebushed everything and added pedal covers. I got 930 trailing arms which I had vapor blasted. They look new!!
