Mel’s car is back to be completely stripped, media blasted, all parts replated and rebuilt along with powder coating various parts. As you can see it would of been a crime to continue on the path this car was headed as some of the surfacing had already begun. Shiny paint can’t hide whats underneath. I started today taking the rest of it apart and will have it on a rotisserie and headed for blasting by the first of next week.
Interior
The interior is about finished except for the Daytona seat inserts. New heat shield were made with a ceramic matt used as insulation.
Body work
Body work continues on Mel’s car, with the metal work starting soon. More of the fiberglass was stripped out to better access area that need addressed. All the paint has been stripped off and now wears a thin coat of metal etching primer.
Body and Paint
Mel’s car is back at Steve’s now that the parts have been stripped off. So now we watch the Maestro do his magic in bringing this Dino back to it’s glory. In the meantime the parts are refurbished, the chrome is done and interior redone.
Off to Paint
The car has been stripped and ready to o to Steve’s for about 4 months
Original black 74 GTS
Another project to work on. It’s a 74 GTS original color black and will stay black. The owner has chosen red leather with red carpet. All the trim to be done in black dino vinyl and the dash in Henk’s material from the Netherlands.
