More and more this is beginning to look like a car again. Much progress has been made as reassembly continues.
Lot of Bits and Pieces
Reassembly is moving along with all the hundreds of items that must be reinstalled on the car.
First Interior Parts
More wiring today, very time consuming when replacing a lot of the connectors and the vinyl sheathing. Ralph from Auto’s International came over today and installed the Dino vinyl around the back windscreen as I’m ready for glass in a day or two. The front is pretty much finished with the grill and bumpers now on.
More Wiring
More wiring today, it takes way longer than you would think. I have everything from the cab forward done and the dash laid out. I think at least another day or two to finish this part
Day 5 of Reassembly
Wiring was the focus today getting the wiring harness back in the car. Should be done tomorrow and then things can speed up a little. A few other odds and ends installed today also.
Day 4 of Reassembly of 08450
Day 4 of reassembly, with lots of progress today. The hydraulic system is done with new brake lines and fitting. The AC is mostly done at least from the cab forward. All the lines will be hooked up tomorrow. The new heat shield was installed in the engine compartment, rear lights and bumpers a few other odds and ends. Tomorrow the wiring goes back in and that will pretty much finish everything in the front part of the car. Everything is going well with no problems year. Moving along faster than my initial timeframe estimate. Probably jinxing myself saying that!
Progress
Progress today mounting more parts. Accelerator assembly, Ventillation system, clutch cable, AC and heater hoses, vent fans, emergency brake, heater boxes and other odds and ends.
Part by Part
Reassembly is a tedious and time consuming process, Extra care has to be taken at all times as you are working on a freshly painted body and certainly don’t want to make any damage while installing hundreds of parts back on the car.
