I started hanging parts on Rob’s car, starting with things I can put on that will not interfere with other parts or the wiring which will need to be done soon. It is nice putting clean parts on a clean car! I got it off the rotisserie after getting the floorpan back on. It’s much easier at this point to work off a lift versus rotisserie.
Ready to Start
I got Rob’s Dino back today ready for the start of reassembly tomorrow. I mounted it back on a rotisserie which I’ll only use for a few days, then everything will be done on the lift. The color is beautiful and one of my favorite Dino colors. Now if I can just remember where everything goes and where to start!! A very cool contrast with Eric’s Dino in the background, a before and after. The camera is for a time lapse, putting the car back together. Every minute a photo will be taken which I will turn into a time lapse video.
Clear Coat
Bringing out the color!!
Paint Today!!
Paint today!!! I went up to Steve K’s today to watch the paint process, what a great color!. Watching the clear going on bring the color to life. About 1 1/2 gallons of clear is used. It will be back in my hands a week from tomorrow to begin assembly which I’m guessing will take 5-6 weeks. It will be visiting cars and coffee a week from tomorrow on its way to my shop.
Paint This Week!
Finally after several months at the paint shop it will be painted this week! I hope to start reassembly in about 10 days, that’s the fun part to see it all come back together.
Soon!
We Have Blue Dino Metallizzato!
Getting very close to putting this Dino back together, in all it’s glory back to it’s factory delivered color!
Fiberglass Parts
With 2 coats of primer on the car and getting close to paint, I put the fiberglass back in the car. I also got the trunk fiberglass ready to install and the heat shield and ceramic insulation in.
