My second build is done and time to show off! This was built starting with a 73 911, with metal flares, bumpers, and aluminum hood and handmade ducktail. No fiberglass was used. It has 930 turbo trailing arms and brakes with elephant racing bits and pieces. It has a front oil cooler and under fender oil cooler. External oil filler with custom machined cap. I used an extra large 25 litre center fill fuel tank with custom machined cap. 15×9 and 15×11 braid wheels with Michelin TB 15 tires. It’s powered by a 3.5 litre Rothsport faux MFI but is actually EFI producing 350 HP. It coupled with a Euro 915 transmission with a Wevo short shift. Interior is Alcantara dash, headliner and other pieces. The livery was designed by the renowned car designer Freeman Thomas as a tribute to the 70 era Porsche 917 which was commonly referred to as the Hippie car. The livery along with all logo is painted using no vinyl. The paint job was done by Brad Diez at Speedzone paint. Those are the basics of the car with many more custom parts and touches. With 350 HP and weighing 2300 pounds it’s incredibly fast and a thrill to drive. Today was its first outing.
