Dino Compendium
It’s now been 20 days since I picked up Jamie’s car in Oakland, Ca. In that time I’ve completely stripped the car, mounted it to a rotisserie, had it blasted and primed, delivered all the chrome and stainless for either chroming or polishing, dissembled all the parts for either plating or powder coating, the interior trim pieces are already in progress and now daily i get boxes for rebuilding, restoring or replacing parts. That phase will start in earnest next week with suspension, brakes etc first on the list. Having a great time!!! Also I am sending off to the new owner one of the most important items you can have, THE DINO COMPENDIUM signed by the author himself. Time for Jamie to start thinking about a color as it gets delivered to the painter next week.
Nuts and Bolt Restoration
I’m sure everybody has heard of a nuts and bolts restoration, but what does that mean. It literally means every item down to the smallest washer is addressed whether is is rechromed or replated to factory finish. No item is left undone. This is a pile of nuts and bolts etc that tomorrow go to the plater. It is every nut, bolt, washer and thingamajig that came off Dino 06450.
More Media Blast
The body and frame are now down to bare metal and will now be primed with metal etching primer.
Dino Engine Test Stand
The test stand is ready to go for engine testing next week. It’s always a thrill to start the engine for the first time and hear it roar to life.

Media Blasting
Media blasting can be a little scary as it reveals everything. Luckily this Dino had Zero rust, no bondo and accident free. Very rare to find none of this in a 40 year old car. This is a great find by the new owner!
Engine Porn!
The engine is almost done and and looking gooooood!
Bodywork
The metal work is finishing up and now to the next stage, surfacing.
