This is the second restoration I did. It is a 73 GT, very rare in that it is one of 5 USA models that came from the factory with “Flares and Chairs” a special package with flared wheel housings, wider Campagnolo wheels and seats similar to the Ferrari Daytona.
74 GTS #07836
This is a 74 Dino Spyder painted in Blue Dino Metallizzato. I spent 2 years along with my son Jeff doing a 2 year total nuts and bolts restoration. I plan on keeping it forever!

Suspension
With the body now out of the shop and being media blasted it’s time to turn my attention to refurbishing the parts. I decided to start with the suspension, where all bushings, seals, bearings, shocks will be replaced and the parts will be replated. I got the A arms and sway bars back from the powder coater today.
Media Blasting
All the fiberglass is now removed and ready to be media blasted.
Fiberglass
If you want a really good job with are the metal exposed and blasted you have to take out the fiberglass. Kind of a big job for sure but worth the added time it takes for the results
.
Dino Floor Pan
I took the floorpan off which took all day seeing that it was coated with some very heavy undercoat and I couldn’t see the hundreds of rivets that hold it on that all needed drilled out. A few more parts to come off then ready to be media blasted.
Rotisserie Dino
More parts removed allowing the Dino to be mounted to a rotisserie. There is a huge advantage in doing this. as areas can be addressed that otherwise would be neglected. I removed all the wiring which is a mind boggling job! Even harder when it comes time to put in back in.
