Pretty much down to the last of the fiberglass. The 206 is much more difficult than the 246 to get all the various fiberglass pieces out.

Dino 246 Primer, Dino AC condendser, Dino Restoration, Jon Gunderson
Today I went to LA to my favorite plater and I made a stop at AC Global MFG. in Southgate, Ca. As Rob’s car needed a new AC condenser I thought I would go to source and see how they are made. I love old working factories with the sounds and the old machines. Davis Cabrera the owner who took over for his Dad gave me a tour. Then stopped at Steve’s to see the progress on the body. It was looking really good with even gaps all around and ready for primer tomorrow!!. Come on Rob, we need that color choice.

Dino 00136 Suspension. Dino Restoration, Jon Gunderson
Not much left to take off, as all the suspension, brakes etc were removed today along with the steering rack.. Many differenced between a 206 and 246. The fiberglass looks much more difficult to remove, I guess I’ll find out soon! Removing the suspension is kind of a milestone as it will need to go on a rotisserie or cart.

Work is moving on all fronts. The parts are getting refurbished, the dash is now complete in (Henks) material which is the one I like the best and the body work is moving along. Rumors are that it might go yellow.

In between the several projects going on, I found time today to continue stripping my 206 of all it parts while I also have my lift available. Looks like I’m going to have to buy a third rotisserie. There is a lot of differences between the 206 and 246 as you will see with todays work.

The engine is being disassembled for a rebuild after it is diagnosed for exactly what it needs. I also received the steering rack back from a rebuild.
