This is probably the most enjoyable part of the restoration for me, going through all the parts now that they’ve been cleaned, replated etc. and rebuilding each assembly. Today it was rear calipers and the shift mechanism. The 40 year old grease in the shifter had to be chipped out it was so hard. There is no particular order in this part, it’s just what I feel like when I get to work.
Radiator Fans
Hydraulic Brake System
The master cylinder, brake balancer and equalizer rebuilt, replaced and powder coated.
Horn Compressor
Restoration of the horn compressor, cleaned and repainted.
Plating
Progress Update
Work continues as Brad at Speedzone addresses the few areas of body rot while meantime I continue to restore every part .
Back to Work on the 206
I had a few spare hours today so we took a few parts off my 206 to try and move it along. It has been sitting for awhile as I’ve had to work on other Dino’s. It’s going to be repainted to Grigio Ferro Metallizzato!
Vent Windows and Frames
I love all aspects of restoring a Dino but for some reason I do not particularly like doing the vent windows. they can be a real P I T A! I usually put them off for last but this time I decided to get right on them, anyway that for sure now is the last items to get chromed.
