Wiring was the focus today getting the wiring harness back in the car.  Should be done tomorrow and then things can speed up a little.  A few other odds and ends installed today also.

Reassembly of Ferrari Dino 246 GTS 08450, Dino restoration, Jon Gunderson

Day 4 of reassembly, with lots of progress today. The hydraulic system is done with new brake lines and fitting. The AC is mostly done at least from the cab forward. All the lines will be hooked up tomorrow. The new heat shield was installed in the engine compartment, rear lights and bumpers a few other odds and ends. Tomorrow the wiring goes back in and that will pretty much finish everything in the front part of the car. Everything is going well with no problems year. Moving along faster than my initial timeframe estimate. Probably jinxing myself saying that!

The best custom products available. Notice the yellow sealer primer that is
close to the actual base-coat color. The UFC-35 Urethane clearcoat has 3 times
the U.V protection of regular production clears and has the best gloss and DOI
(distinction of image). Brad sprayed out a few pieces to see how things looked. Can’t wait to get the color on the body! This Dino is going to look awesome.

Progress today mounting more parts. Accelerator assembly, Ventillation system, clutch cable, AC and heater hoses, vent fans, emergency brake, heater boxes and other odds and ends.

The original heat shield was full of rot so I made a new one.  The original factory ones had a water absorbing material sandwiched between 2 sheets of metal.  Most that I’ve seen are rusted out at the bottom and pretty beat up.

Reassembly is a tedious and time consuming process,  Extra care has to be taken at all times as you are working on a freshly painted body and certainly don’t want to make any damage while installing hundreds of parts back on the car.
