There are lots of trim pieces that need either rechromed or if stainless, polished. Everything will be done on Rob’s Dino per the photos. A few parts such as emblems will be sourced new. Including lug bolts, over 50 items need to be addressed.
Dash removal
Just unhook everything and it comes right out!
It’s all in the numbers
The Dino has 4 sets of ID numbers. There is the chassis number, this one being 08450, there is the body number being stamped on numerous trim pieces. There is also the engine ID number and gearbox number. Here you will see the chassis and the body #’s. The engine is coming out this week which will allow for photos of the other numbers.
The last drive
The last drive before things get crazy and I really start pulling parts off! Doors and dash were next. The doors are one of the more challenging projects. Even stripping the parts off is difficult task. The dash is also a bit challenging as there are lots of parts to be disconnected before it will come out.
Porsche 550 Spyder (Not Quite)
I love these cars and this is as close as I could get to the real thing. I had it made by Vintage Spyders in Stanton, California.
2008 Green GT3 RS
This is one of my favorites and definitely a keeper. Jeff has his eye on this one!
Back to original!
It was decided to bring the Dino back to original factory configuration. Blu Dino Metallizzato with tan interior, rust carpet, Dino vinyl trim and correct mouse hair.
Transformation Complete
This 206 came to us with just about everything wrong on it. New parts were sourced and others fabricated. It was brought back to it’s original color and configured how it left the factory gates.
